Today we are sharing our elderberry syrup recipe with you!
Elderberries are packed with antioxidants and vitamins, and can aid in boosting your immune system. Although they are by no means a preventative or vaccine for Covid-19, elderberry syrup is a great natural tonic for treating and/or preventing the common cold and flu.
4 cups of elderberry
1 cup juniper berries
2 tablespoons grated ginger
1 chili pepper
1 cup of astragalus root
2.5 cups of honey
4 tbsp of propolis honey (optional)
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and then add in the elderberries, juniper berries, ginger, chili pepper, cloves, and astragalus root
- Simmer in low for 2 hours
- Strain and add 2.5 cups honey, and 4 tablespoons of propolis honey (optional)
- Poor into glass jars keep refrigerated for up to 5 weeks
